A new edition of Xbox Game Pass will be released this autumn, around the holiday season. Xbox Game Pass is presently available in two versions: the normal $10 Xbox Game Pass and the $15 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. A third version, a family plan, is on the way, according to a recent report. This rumor isn’t brand new, but the aforementioned release window is. The rumor comes from Brad Sams, a well-known Microsoft insider.

Sams, unfortunately, does not provide any information on how this plan would work or how much it will cost. He also mentions the fact that this information is subject to change. This window, in other words, is a target, not a locked-in object.

“The family party plan, last I heard, was targeted for a fall release, around the holiday time this year. Keep in mind, that things change. Lots of things are in moving timelines. That was the initial target.”

Take everything here with a grain of salt for the time being. There have been several stories and speculations of an Xbox Game Pass family plan, so there’s enough smoke to imply a fire. Furthermore, this is something that is logical. However, the family plan claim and this additional detailed information from Sams are both unofficial and open to change.

Xbox Game Pass is said to be getting more pricey shortly, according to rumors of a family plan. According to these price rise speculations, Xbox is planning to phase out Xbox Live Gold and the normal tier of Xbox Game Pass, replacing them with the $15 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes Xbox Live Gold.
