Mohamed Salah, a well-known Egyptian footballer and key Liverpool forward, is rumored to be leaving Liverpool Football Club. Egyptian Sports Minister Ashraf Sobi says Mohamed Salah plans to sign a new deal with Liverpool.
But Ashraf Sobi also said he advised 29-year-old Salah to leave Anfield, only for the Egyptian forward to extend his contract until June 2023.
“I have advised him to continue his journey at a club other than Liverpool, but now he is looking to renew his contract,” Sobhi said.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said he is happy with the progress of a new deal, Klopp said “The decision-makers are talking to each other and that’s all I need,”.Salah said in January that he wanted to stay at Liverpool but that his future depended on the club.
“They know what I want,” Salah told a magazine. I’m not asking for crazy things. The situation has been reported to the administration. It is in their hands.
Egyptian player Mohamed Salah’s agent Rami Abbas Issa laughed and tweeted emojis in March after the clip’s previous claim that he was “completely fine” with the progress of the deal. Recent reports claim that Salah is close to agreeing to a four-year wage agreement of 400,000 a week, with a long-term wage compromise.
Sobhi said his talks with Salah took place after Egypt’s penalty shootout defeat in the World Cup qualifying play-off against Senegal last week. Ashraf Sobhi said that I told him to forget what happened and pay attention to what will happen next.
Salah has scored 153 goals in 240 appearances for Liverpool since signing a 34million deal with Roma in 2017. He signed an extension a year later after scoring 44 goals in his first season.
Liverpool won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020.
