Following its release on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC last month, Ubisoft’s free-to-play 3v3 skater Roller Champions has been granted a Switch release date and will come on Nintendo’s platform tomorrow, June 21st, according to a new UK eShop listing.

Roller Champions is Ubisoft’s attempt to create its own chaotic sports mash-up in the manner of Rocket League, but one that substitutes a fast-paced combination of competitive roller-skating, hockey, and football for the latter’s cars-meet-football premise.

The idea is that two teams of three players race around a track trying to take the ball away from each other. When one team eventually takes possession of the ball, they must complete at least one circuit before pelting it into the goal, with more points accruing the more laps they can maintain hold of it before attempting a successful shot.

The internet didn’t exactly erupt in a frenzy of excitement following Roller Champions’ released last month on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, but Eurogamer’s Chris Tapsell liked its pacy action when he tried it shortly after its E3 2019 unveiling, calling it “honestly one of the demos I found hardest to tear myself away from.”

Expect Roller Champions for Switch to offer cross-play and cross-progression when it makes its eShop debut, assuming feature parity with other versions of the game. A smartphone version has also been revealed, although no release date has been set.
