A new co-op mode for the timeless The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, dubbed Together Reborn, will be released on Friday. “Hello everyone, we are excited to announce that Skyrim Together Reborn is almost ready for release after a lengthy development process. It will be available this Friday, July 8th, at 16:00 GMT. The mod will be available on Nexus “The mod’s creator was revealed.
Not only that, but Along with the release date, the developers revealed that this will not be a beta, as previously planned.
“We were able to make some last-minute improvements,” the team explained, “and we are now ready to do a full release instead (version 1.0).”
While this is very exciting, the developer has asked that its community recognize that this mod is intended to be a bit of fun and a labor of love for everyone involved. As a result, there may be some unavoidable performance issues.
“It’s nearly impossible to turn a single-player game into a multiplayer game without source code, especially with a development team made up of a handful of students doing this for free in their spare time,” the team wrote.
“Please keep this in mind as you play Reborn. The mod will not be flawless. It will crash on occasion, some quests will fail, and there will be bugs. This is irreversible. This is simply the reality of creating a multiplayer mode rather than having a large studio like Bethesda create a multiplayer game. Still, it’s playable, enjoyable, and far superior to the old Skyrim Together mod, which was the goal of Reborn.”
Below is a video of the new mod being tested by the Together developers (which was uploaded in May).
A user in Skyrim’s impressive modding community has created a mod that brings the game’s big scaly dragons into super, super, sharp focus. This mod retextures the dragon skins from Skyrim and its DLCs to an incredible 16K resolution.
