Sega has announced a Sonic Central Livestream starting June 7th, with information on upcoming Sonic projects. Sega has announced that on June 7, a Sonic Central Livestream will take hold, giving fans a sneak peek at forthcoming projects, collaborations, and events.

The Sonic Central Livestream will be placed on the Sonic YouTube and Twitch channels on June 7 at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET, as announced on Twitter. While the Tweet makes no mention of any specific announcements, last year’s Sonic Central saw the unveiling of Sonic Origins, Sonic Frontiers, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate, indicating that there may be some huge news.

The Livestream might provide a release date for Sonic Frontiers, Sonic Team’s planned 3D “open-zone” game due out later this year. Several Sonic Frontiers gameplay videos have also been posted in recent weeks, implying that a big announcement is on the way. Sonic Origins, a collection of classic Sonic games, is due out on June 23, thus it’s possible that a new teaser may be shown during the conference.

At the last Sonic Central, numerous mobile game crossovers with Sonic were announced, as well as a variety of retail lines, including some Sonic chains.

Sega did not specify a duration for the Sonic Central Livestream, but given that it is just centered on one series, it will most likely be brief.
