In 2020 Streets of Rage 4 was published on consoles and PC, marking the series’ first numbered entry since 1994. The game was a smash hit thanks to its amazing animation, visual style, and contemporary beat-’em-up action. In her Streets of Rage 4 review, Heidi Kemps scored the game an 8 “The return of the Streets of Rage franchise after a lengthy hiatus is impressive. It looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, and performs well.”
The game was unveiled and published today for iOS and Android devices by publisher Playdigious. It’s now available for $7.99 on both platforms, with the Mr. X Nightmare DLC available for an extra $2.99.
The mobile version of the game looks to be a genuine transfer of the PC and console versions, but with a redesigned interface for touch-screen controls. It also offers Game Center achievements, iCloud options for iOS for sharing your progress across devices, and MFicontrollers compatibility. “No microtransactions!” says the game’s description page.
