The iPhone 16 with an under-display Face ID will be released later than expected, The iPhone 13 had a lower notch when it was released last year. Because in-display Face ID is expected to take some time, Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 14 with a pill and circular cutout for Face ID and the front-facing camera. Analysts Ross Young and Ming-Chi Kuo both predict that the feature will arrive with the iPhone 16 later in 2024.
The predictions indicate Apple’s plans to stick to the pill-shaped and hole-design for at least two years before introducing in-display Face ID.
The pill-shaped and circular notch will be standard on all iPhone 15 models, according to Ross Young. According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 will include an in-display camera. According to Kuo, Apple is now testing a 9-inch foldable iPhone, which is scheduled to be released in 2025.
