Draw for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: The draw and group event of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held in Qatar today. The pools and groups of the 29 teams that are currently in the playoffs will be decided today.
Either Wales, Scotland, or Ukraine will join the Qatar World Cup this year. But the decision will be made after the playoffs in June. Of the 32 teams in the World Cup, 27 have been confirmed, with two intercontinental play-off matches scheduled for June.
Drake’s event will be broadcast live to media around the world. Former England captain Alan Shearer, former Nigerian striker Efan Ikoko and former Scottish forward James McFadden, as well as journalist Julian Lawrence, will be among the guests.
Leading British commentators Lawrence, Tim Vickery, and Jonathan Pierce will comment on the draw. The World Cup will be played in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
- Pool 1: (seeded teams): Qatar, Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain, Portugal.
- Pool 2: Mexico, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Uruguay, Switzerland, USA, Croatia.
- Pool 3: Senegal, Iran, Japan, Morocco, Serbia, Poland, South Korea, Tunisia.
- Pool 4: Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Wales / Scotland / Ukraine, Costa Rica / New Zealand, UAE / Australia / Peru.
The format of this World Cup is the same as the previous few tournaments, in which the teams are placed in eight groups of four. The teams will be ranked based on the FIFA World Rankings released on March 31.
