Sony has said that the length of time-limited PS Plus game trials will vary, but now that the program has launched in Asia, we have a clearer understanding of how much the timeframe differs. Horizon Forbidden West and Cyberpunk 2077 trials take five hours apiece, according to Twitter user PS Vortex, while Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and WWE 2K22 trials last two hours each.

Most PS Plus game trials will last two hours, according to Sony. When you initially start the game, the counter starts at zero. It’s unknown what criteria Sony uses to determine trial length, but according to a Game Developer article, several companies were caught off guard by Sony’s trial requirements, particularly smaller teams with limited resources.

Although there’s a lot to see and see in Horizon Forbidden West, five hours is a reasonable duration, and a Platinum trophy run with a little amount of world exploring may take up to 50 hours (if you’re doing the absolute minimum). When it comes to trophies, your trial save data and trophy progress will carry over to complete games if you decide to buy them. Trials of games are only available to Premium/Deluxe subscribers.

In other news, the next “big” PlayStation event is expected to take place in September, with a Sly Cooper announcement, and the open beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released first on PS5 and PS4.
