During the closing ceremony, Fahad Al-Rasheed, Executive Chairman of the Riyadh Royal Commission, said that the Saudi Pavilion has won several awards at the Dubai Expo 2020.
According to the state-run news agency SPA, Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced on October 29, 2021, that Saudi Arabia had made a formal request to host Expo 2030 in the capital Riyadh.
The executive chairman of the Riyadh Royal Commission said that during the Dubai Expo 2020, millions of visitors were introduced to the kingdom’s development schemes in the Saudi pavilion. He said that Riyadh is embarking on a journey to become a global city for which all energies will be utilized.
The capital, Riyadh, will be hosting Expo 2030 with new plans. Riyadh is setting up the world’s largest public transport network, said Fahad al-Rasheed, executive chairman of the Riyadh Royal Commission, In addition, a major tree-planting project is being launched, the completion of which will turn Riyadh into an open art gallery.
He said that the arrival of millions of visitors to the Saudi pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 is proof that people from all over the world are interested in the kingdom, its culture, and heritage. Fahad Al-Rasheed, executive chairman of the Riyadh Royal Commission, said the kingdom was embarking on a journey of change under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince.
The Riyadh Royal Commission is responsible for the transformation mission in the capital and is in charge of hosting the Riyadh Expo 2030. It should be noted that five countries are in the running to host Expo 2030: Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Italy, Ukraine, and Russia.
