According to details, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid on social networking site Twitter said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will issue an E-Passport, the new biometric passport will use an electronic chip. The Home Minister said that 29 new security features have been added to the E-Passport, which is the biggest upgrade for travel documents.
Sheikh Rashid said that E-Passports will provide an E-Gate facility at airports all over the world but initially e-passports will be available for diplomatic and government passports. It is believed that all the details of the applicant will be stored in this passport with a microchip card, the data of the safe passenger and travel details will be linked to the system of immigration and NADRA. Prime Minister Imran Khan will also address this function.
