Islamabad (Epost) Addressing the OIC meeting, Secretary General Hussain Ibrahim Taha said “Condemns India’s move to end status of Occupied Kashmir on August 5, situation in Yemen is worrisome for OIC”
Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ 48th Meeting continues in Islamabad, addressed by Secretary General Hussain Ibrahim Taha He said “that on the occasion of Pakistan Day and OIC congratulates the chairmen of the 48th meeting of the Foreign Ministers,Pakistan is grateful for the excellent hospitality, 48th OIC Summit on Partnership for Unity, Justice and Development,Pray for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.”
Speaking in favor of Kashmir, the Secretary General said that he condemned India’s move to end the status of Occupied Kashmir on August 5.And this is a violation of international law. The people of Kashmir should have the right to self-determination as per UN resolutions.
Kashmir issue has been in need of solution for a long time. OIC expresses solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir.
Hussein Ibrahim Taha said that he condemned the genocidal acts of the Palestinian people,Israeli aggression violates international law, seeks stability and lasting peace in the region,Concerned over Israeli policy towards Palestine, Israel is occupying Palestinian land and committing atrocities,We must show full solidarity with Palestine.
He says the situation in Yemen is worrisome for the OIC, whose people are deeply affected by the Yemen conflict,Bloodshed in Yemen must stop immediately, attacks on civilians by Houthi rebels are worrisome,The Yemeni conflict must be resolved immediately, and a peaceful and lasting solution to the Yemeni problem is essential
He said that Muslim countries are facing various challenges, extraordinary OIC meeting on Afghanistan was successful, Afghans are in touch with the international community for peace.
Somali and Sudan are in constant conflict, and the Muslim community must work to protect human rights, African countries must play a role in resolving disputes, seek peaceful resolution of the issue of inclusion in accordance with the Geneva Conventions and Security Council resolutions
He said that Rohingyas demand honorable return of Muslims, UN has passed a resolution on March 15 to mark the day against Islamophobia.It is hoped that this day will bring harmony between religions.
