The My Nintendo Store store in the United Kingdom went offline yesterday and will be unavailable due to maintenance until tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27th. It follows the store’s absence in other nations throughout continental Europe, where a similar maintenance notification appeared, admitting downtime will continue for “a few weeks” (thanks, Nintendo Life).
Nintendo has not provided any more information about the planned repair or why it is taking place now.
However, many have referred to the upcoming release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on Friday, July 29th, as well as the server troubles seen by the US edition of My Nintendo when orders for the game’s Special Edition opened last month.
In Europe, “unforeseen logistical issues” have caused a delay for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Collector’s Edition, which will now only be accessible through My Nintendo after the game’s release.
Nintendo had stated that pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition’s contents will be available in Europe in September.
