The Kashmir Premier League (KPL) went home in trouble after its first season. The Accountability Bureau of Azad Jammu and Kashmir took notice of the irregularities in the first season. According to the news website ProPakistani, in the first season of KPL, contracts were offered to dubious companies without proper action.

The Accountability Bureau has also sought clarification from the Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Culture of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in this regard. According to the report, the inaugural season of KPL was held at Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium in August last year. Although the tournament was a huge success, giving young players the opportunity to play at a large level, the manner in which the tournament was conducted was later called into question.

According to the report, the Accountability Bureau has also sought clarification from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the legality of KPL and asked what is the role of PCB in organizing such events. The Accountability Bureau has sought details from KPL management on how private companies were selected to manage the event.

Were tenders opened for this under the rules of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority?
