Honor’s introduction of new phones has been slow for some time after its split from Huawei but is now gaining momentum. The company introduced the Honor X8 in early March 2022, and an updated model has been unveiled in a few days.
The Honor X9 5G smartphone has been introduced in Malaysia. The Honor X9 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, meaning it’s a mid-range smartphone.
The phone will have 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The highlight of the Honor X9 is its large display which is 6.81 inches with 120 Hz refresh rate support.
This is an IPS LCD screen with Full HD Plus support. The 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls is printed in a punch-hole design.
There is a setup of 3 cameras on the back of the phone. The main camera of this setup is 48 megapixels with 2 megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth-sensing cameras.
The phone comes with a 4800 mAh battery with 66 watts of fast charging support. The Android 11 operating system is integrated with the Magic UI 4.2, while the fingerprint scanner is on the side.
The phone is priced at $260 (over PKR 47,000) and will soon be introduced in countries other than Malaysia with the X8.
