The wacky rat race game Fall Guys will launch free to play on June 21 and will be available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store. A PlayStation 5 version will also be released. All versions of the game will enable cross-play and cross-progression, which means that a group of friends may play together regardless of the platform they are on.
To accommodate this change, developer Mediatonic will reset all six seasons and begin again. The start of a new season will be on June 21. Players may buy a season pass using show-bucks, and new in-game money, to speed up their growth and unlock new costumes and other goodies. Kudos, the old currency, will be carried over for all gamers.
Fall Guys’ PC version will be transferring platforms. Fall Guys, which was previously accessible on Steam, will now be exclusive to the Epic Games Store following the acquisition of creator Mediatonic by Fortnite last year. Those who bought Fall Guys on Steam may continue to play it and receive updates.
A request for more comment from Mediatonic was not immediately responded to.
According to a blog post, PC and PlayStation 4 gamers who purchased the game will receive a legacy pack that includes a moniker, nameplate, regal, veggie dog, and feisty dwarf outfits, as well as a season pass for season one. This will be available to everyone who buys Fall Guys before it becomes free to play on June 21st. Those who preregister will be eligible for special incentives.
More information will be released closer to the debut date, according to Mediatonic.
