According to media reports, the PCB could benefit from the support of England and the West in the four-nation tournament. On the other hand, the Indian Cricket Board is still silent in the four-nation tournament.
The PCB estimates the event could generate $650 million in media and commercial rights and plans to distribute the money to all four parties, as well as to other ICC members.
The ICC’s Financial Affairs Committee has said that a tournament involving more than two teams could harm the World Cup, while the ICC would have to amend its rules to allow a tournament involving more than two teams.
It should be noted that according to media reports, the chairman of PCB will propose four national tournaments in today’s ICC meeting.
