Call of Duty: Warzone teases Zombies are back

Although there have been many interesting events in the history of Call of Duty: Warzone, the most memorable one was the appearance of zombies in Verdansk. Something similar could occur shortly if a recent Call of Duty: Warzone teaser is to be believed.

Considering that Godzilla and Kong just made an appearance in Call of Duty: Warzone, adding zombies to the popular battle royale game is scarcely implausible. But it’s still unclear how they’ll be put to use. Even though the undead’s most recent appearance had them creeping around a destroyed ship before spreading to other areas of Verdansk, the incident caused controversy. Some gamers thought the zombies spread too slowly, while others thought Warzone’s PvE components were unnecessary.

The latest blog post delving into Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 seems to hint at the return of the zombies, as Reddit user lil zoghi noted. This future zombie content is being referred to as an “undead surge” and “the ultimate test for Operators,” so it’s clear that a PvE strategy will be used. There is another option, though, and it would probably be far more popular with people who disapproved of the earlier Warzone Zombies event.

The well-known Zombie Royale game mode was introduced during the first Haunting event for Call of Duty: Warzone. Players loved the idea of turning into zombies when slain, making this playlist an instant favorite with the community. Players in Zombie Royale were given special skills when they turned into zombies and may recover their humanity by obtaining remedies from defeated enemies. The last battle, when survivors were encircled by scores of player-controlled zombies with the aim of being the only human standing, was horrific.

Although a Zombie Royale mode centered around the Caldera or maybe Rebirth Island would be entertaining, the “final test” description makes that approach seem implausible. It would be fascinating to watch if zombies gradually expand over the map or appear in several other regions right once the midseason update is released, assuming that zombies are instead employed as PvE threats. Additionally, as Caldera will shortly be removed and replaced with the Warzone 2.0 map, another occurrence similar to the Destruction of Verdansk may be possible. A few weeks into Season 4, viewers will probably learn more about this material.

Fans of Call of Duty: Warzone can only make conjectures at this time on the midseason update and how Zombies will be reintroduced to the game. No matter what Raven Software does with the undead, though, the introduction of zombies once more risked dividing the community.

Currently, PC, PS4, and Xbox One users may download Call of Duty: Warzone.
